Tips for using Google Maps
Important note: When using the "get driving directions" feature for Google Maps, the directions will get you as close to possible to the field.  It may not mean that is where you can park, and it also may not mean that you should cut through someone's yard to get to the field.  What it means is that you should be close enough to the field to see it,  figure out where to park legally, and get to the field without trespassing on private property.  The maps have been created to indicate the location of the playing field as accurately as possible, not the location of parking facilities, or field access points.

If you are not familiar with google maps, the webmaster has put together the following list of tips.
1. When you open any of the google maps above you will be seeing a customized map which highlights the soccer fields on the map.  The list of fields highlighted is in a menu on the left side of the map.  To go to a specific field click on the field name in that menu.
2. Once you are at the field you want, you will likely want to zoom in closer to see the road names, you can zoom in two different ways, one is by double clicking the map near the field.. it will zoom in a little bit each time you double click.  The second way is to use the zoom bar on the map itself to increase or decrease the level of zoom.
3. When you have zoomed in to the level you want, you can do a number of things, if you click on the little soccer man, and balloon will pop up over his head, giving you more field details.  Within that balloon is an option to "Get directions to here".  If you click on that option, input your home address, the map will then give you driving directions to the specific soccer field.
4. Another thing you can do is print a copy of the map, and it will print at whatever level of zoom you are viewing.
5. You can also switch between satellite and map view.
6. You can also send a link to the map to someone's email address (including your own).  The link that you send will bring the recipient to the exact same location on the map, with the exact same zoom level as you were seeing when you sent it.

Google Maps is a far more powerful and useful tool than our old images of maps, the old images are still available above (under the Map Index link) for people that don't need the features of  the new maps.
